great damn information i couldve probably put effort to find too.. training has been really great my snatch just PR'd at 150lb .  want a snatch at my body weight .

    interesting study maybe i should start a topic in the S/C part of the forum… personally from video i see harder 3x in my snatches than clean because i guess the subliminal danger of not getting enough momentum to throw overhead.

     training cleans/core/ + ana. conditioning !   will post a small video soon of my progression with tape measure and numbers of course.

good morning fellas!   http://www.t-nation.com/free_o….._exercises

I'm a little late to this forum. I've only done cleans and full ROM squats these past 8 weeks since I started the program, so I honestly had no idea where I was at till now. I was just doing the %'s by feel. Anyway, here are my numbers (current/goals after weeks 9-16.)

V: 24"/ 30"

B: 7' 8.5"/ 10'

60: not sure/FAST!!

BS: 350/400

BP: 275/305

PC: 245/275

BW: 250/235

Velo: 91/96

Loving the program Coach Brent! I was shocked to see how much I was able to clean considering I never did them before this program.

I believe in setting my goals high, and giving myself enough time to achieve them. I plan on doing levels 1-3, and then cycling back through them for the next 80 weeks, so it gives me 10 cycles. Brent do you think that these goals are achievable in that time frame. I have a summer ball team I will be playing on but nothing that will get in the way of my workouts, and I plan on implementing during my summer season the preseason and in-season drills as well.

(current/goal)

V = 26 in / 42 in

B = 8.5' / 11.5'

60 = 7.3 s / 6.5 s

BS = 345 lb/ 550 lb

BP = 225 lb/ 300 lb

PC = 180 lb/ 350 lb

BW = 225 lb/ 210 lb

Velo = 76 mph/ 97+ mph

I believe anything is possible but these are insane numbers. You will definitely be throwing 97 with these numbers. You could also get drafted in the NFL, NHL with these numbers as well. I like it!. Let's see what you can do.

Hey Brent, thanks for the support, I was just reading another post and you said to take a week of in between 8 week cycles, so you would recommend taking one of my cycles off so I can put in a week of rest in between each program. I also plan on giving an update after each week 8 cycle and posting a video for analysis.

Brent,

Here are Jacques' goal numbers:

                      Current / Goal

Veritcal                          36"

Broad Jump                    10.5'

60 yd                             6.6

Bact squat         225    /   400

Bench               165    /   300

Power clean       160    /   290

Body Weight       165   /   190

Velocity              80     /   96

He's just started Week 4 of the 3X program (performance week) and hit personal highs in the squat (200), bench (145), and clean (150). He was a bit apprehensive, but once he performed the exercises, his confidence level is off the charts!

His goals for week 8 (squat 225, bench 165, clean 160) are attainable.

Didn't you say a large increase in velocity is attained when power clean exceeds body weight?

Thanks,  Huey

I wouldn't say a large increase but when his power to weight ratio is positive this is when he will start to really feel his performance increase. Good numbers but he has a lot of work to do so tell him to work hard, rest and recover.
