Great attitude! If you keep this attitude you will reach your goals. The day I was finished with poles and long distance runs was the day it all changed for me.

Thanks Brent. It's just frustrating because when I'm at school I have to do what our team is doing. During the season, we will either run 8 poles, 8 sprint job poles, long distance run, or sprints ( 30,40,50,60) and cone drills, and these days all depend on when you are pitching. So there is only 1 anaerobic day and that depends when you are pitching, so you may not even do that. I'm pretty pissed at the fact that I have been insulted by my coach in front of our entire team for throwing mid70's. That was during an intersquad game where I got a bunch of rollover ground balls too. Yet, He has done absolutely nothing to help me. I understand that my velocity is not ideal for a nationally ranked division 2 team, but I know it can certainly get a lot better. The only times during the year that I feel like I can make myself better are during the summer and winter break.

I understand your frustration. I went through it. You should hear Trevor Bauer's story. He was kicked off his high school team 8 times and he was made fun of constantly at UCLA for his different approach but they didn't bother him because it was working. You just need to get into the 3X programs and make it work for you and your team will do the same. The biggest challenge in all sports is learning not to follow but to lead.

I would highly recommend that you come down for a 3X Velocity Camp this summer. I have a few spots available.

That's another issue I have. One kid on my team came back from Tommy John surgery and is hitting mid 90 s occasionally. He likes to long toss beyond 350 every day, and everyone thinks that's the answer to throw 95. I would love to come down for a camp, but I'm from Pittsburgh and I don't have money for a camp. I am going to put my best effort into the program when I start it, and il send you another video once I get into the program and have made changes into my delivery as well as video of all the drills via email.

Use this kid as your motivation. Work hard to get stronger and faster than him all around and as you learn these key mechanics you will start to compete with him.

Brent,

Last question/ comment, I swear! I posted up my max lifts, and run times with my analysis. What would be realistic goals in 8/16 week periods? And what would be considered elite?

I would shoot for these numbers in 16 weeks.

Bench Press = 250lbs

Squat = 350lbs

Power Clean = 225lbs

Also vertical jump over 26 inches

and 60 yard dash better than 7.0 secs
