OfflineThe old-timers sure knew about Force Vectors, didn't they? For the young guys -
Carl Hubbell was a Hall of Famer from Meeker, Oklahoma. His claim to fame was striking out five consecutive future Hall of Famers in the 1934 All Star game: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Fox, Al Simmons, and Joe Cronin. His best pitch was a screwball. Imagine throwing a screwball from that arm position. Ouch.
