i have a quick question. i was looking at my analysis again and you said how my arm is staying back. I'm thinking this is because being on this site you stress how important hip shoulder separation is and i was trying to create that through my arm. but my question is should you feel like your holding your body back then to create torque or should it feel like your holding nothing back because of the triple extension firing your hips through so fast your body coils up as a natural reaction to that?

you mean the speed of the 3x will hold the shoulder back right? and so that means everything happens naturally right because of the lower body the upper body doesn't really have time to catch up so it stays back, builds torque, and whips around.

Good news. I've been doing the med ball drills and really focused on not holding my shoulder back by letting my body do everything fluently and naturally through my pitching motion and i feel a lot less stress on my arm/shoulder already. Also working on getting more linear. Ill post another video on here sometime soon when i feel like i made the adjustments in my mechanics as well as i can. Im going to start the strength and conditioning program up next week again just to give my arm a little more rest and see how things go from there.

Hip to shoulder separation is the key to arm health. If you can focus on it and get better at 3X so it will enhance your hip to shoulder separation you will avoid arm injury.

Just make sure that when you are doing this velocity program in-season that you are not overtraining with practice and games. This will work against you.

Brent,

Do you think that you could take a look at this video for me, not a full analysis but just a look to see what i could possibly improve on more because i have made some adjustments.
