OfflineHey Coach Robo,
I agree with you on the pitchers power drive, it is just a gimmick which very well could really foul up an aspiring pitchers mechanics and as you say, the movement needs to move into weight shift just prior to peak leg lift, any thing interfering with that early movement will certainly destroy the initial explosiveness and momentum to front foot touch down and assuredly one's triple extension and most every thing else on to the finish. every movement needs to be executed in proper sequence in order that the momentum builds up properly from start to finish and to also allow the body absorb the tremendous tension, strain and abuse created to the arm and all other body parts negatively effected during the throwing movement/motion, instead of the arm which basically should just go along for a ride. it looks to me like those people demonstrating the power drive are stop at the top and gather your balance, stop and starters, I call them moseyers, just
mosey
right on down the hill and fall asleep.
Great Basebalin.
