OfflineHi, Im 15 years old and 6 foot 1 and 235 lbs. The top speed i have been able to pitch is 65mph. I have been working on my mchanics and it seems that I am improving. I finally understand how to get my momentum going and use my lower body. Judging my size and age about what speed should I be throwing?
Thanks, Troy

OnlineTroy, it really has nothing to do with size and age. This is a big misconception about velocity. Velocity is based on athletic ability. This is why it is very common for an 15 year old who is throwing 85mph to still be throwing 85mph when he is 21 years old. This means he was an early bloomer who more than likely has not developed much physically since he was 15.
If you could post a video of you pitching here I would be glad to do an analysis and show you why you throw as hard as you do and how to improve your velocity.
