OfflineI know that if we have a high pH level in our body we can regenerate our cells faster because there aren't any acids to break it down, but what if you have a totally alkaline diet with no acidic foods? Is that harmful, in the sense that there aren't enough acids in your body, like how acids help break down food? This may be a little weird but I am interested.

OnlineOur bodies ph level works like the ocean or a swimming pool. Our bodies must work to keep our ph levels neutral to keep us living. If we become too acid, we can die and if we become too alkaline, we can die. The problem with our health today is because of our lazy diets of fast food, high proteins, fats and carbs with very little vegetable intake and many toxins, our bodies tend to be more acid. For an athlete, this is more of a problem because when we exercise or play ball, we are also raising our acidity. If we do not help our bodies neutralize then our recovery rate is limited. More acidity in the body kills off our white blood cells and we take longer to recover from a workout or game. This is a big problem for pitchers who's success is based off of their recovery rate.
There are several ways to alkaline your body.
- Eat foods from the alkaline side of this chart http://topvelocity.net/pitcher…..od-charts/
- Drink alkaline water from an alkaline water machine. Send me an email if you want info on these machine.
- Take alka seltzer. Alka Seltzer uses sodium bicarbonate which is similar to bicarbonate which your pancreas secretes to neutralize the stomach fluids. I do not recommend taking this a lot because it has aspirin. I use it as a last case scenario and some times after games.

Offlineso, we just need to have a balanced diet with every for every one acidic food we eat three alkaline. But what if you're working off an alkaline diet with no acidic food or maybe one or two? Does that mean we become too alkaline? or does the exercise or playing disregard that by building the acids. Not sure if that makes sense, but yea.

OfflineForget about my previous question, since i found the answer to that :D. But, i think you should make a nutritional program. because some may not be able to program their own nutrition and may end up stuffing their program up. I have seen someone stuff up their program before and i had to change his ways of programming his diet. And i think that you should promote an alkaline protein diet for building of muscle and to keep pH levels in the optimum state instead of having supplements to replace it. Supplements are essential but it doesn't fill a whole meal worth of nutrients. so yea..

OfflineMy son busts his ass in every aspect of pitching….EXCEPT eating properly!! That kid is a garbage disposal, the thought of feeding this eating machine, when hes 14-17, scares the hell out of me!!
He eats nothing but candy, candy and sugar!! Any good meals or concoctions…. a 10 year old will tolerate?
ps… why is eating healthy, so expensive?
Cigarettes should be 50 bucks a pack and fruit and veggies should be free…
