OfflineSo I've taken a week off of the program after week 5 to let my twitch rebuild and tie up some odds and ends with school. It's given me minute to reflect on what has gone on since I started. Something that has come to my mind is wondering how detrimental things like caffeine are on nutrient uptake and such. I'm from Canada and we have a nation-wide coffee shop called Tim Hortons where I'd swear they put something in it to keep people coming back. Unfortunately, I am a loyal customer. How tough is coffee on your system? In the same genre, how tough is something like a can of monster or redbull on you? Does it impede the progress of building strong muscle through overworking your kidneys? I'd like to remain naive about it and keep guzzling a coffee a day but I'd say it's better to know exactly what is going on inside.

OnlineNolan Ryan drank a cup of black coffee per day. I believe everything in moderation. Coffe is a diuretic and it will dehydrate you. Just make sure that you do not drink a lot of it before a game or if you do drink a lot of water. I think in moderation and with plenty of fluids it actually helps an athletes performance.
