Brent – Ran across this.  Anything here you want to look into and translate for us laymen?

Correlation of Throwing Velocity to the Results of Lower Body Field Tests in Male College Baseball Players.

Overall, this study found that lateral to medial jumps were consistently correlated with high throwing velocity in each of the throwing techniques, in both left and right handed throwers. This is the first study to correlate throwing velocity with a unilateral jump in the frontal plane, mimicking the action of the throwing stride.

Great find! It is basically saying that plyometrics increase pitching velocity. It also mentions the correlation between vertical power and body weight. In laymen's terms or 3X terms this is Power to Weight Ratio. Thanks for posting this Coach! I will put this in my next article.

Great article, Brent.  I ran across the study on the internet and thought it would be right up your alley.  Just trying to help you add more ammo to the 3X arsenal.

love this, makes me feel secure knowing my  clean reflects my vertical jump which reflects my medicine ball MPH which affects my overall current velocity

lateral jumps in frontal plane would be similiar to cressey and the later heidens?

great write up brent!
