Just looking around like usual and saw David Price and wondered "why doesn't Brent use him as an example of 3x?". Looks like he gets optimal hip to shoulder separation and proves it by throwing 95+! Looking forward to what you have to say. Also can't wait for camp in 2 weeks!! Really exited to finally get some instruction on pitching from the master of 3x.

David Price is a big guy (6-6, 225 lbs) and he doesn't have an explosive triple extension. He gets good hip to shoulder separation but his drive leg is still on the rubber at front foot strike. Because of his size he doesn't have to build as much stride power as someone smaller than him therefore he wouldn't be the best example of 3X.

See you at the camp!

just imagine what would happen if he did get triple extension?  maybe take a run at Chapman's speed?

It's the same with all big guys I guess. Once they hit 90+ they tend to stop improving their mechanics while they have an ample to improve on but because being a 90+ guy they're already quite dominant against batters, so they don't bother any more on mechanics. But yes like singtall said if any of the big guys has the mechanics of small guys for example Chapman they will definitely be able to take a run at Chapman's speed.
