I have posted a thread on pitching velocity secrets. Now here is an article I put together on the top 10 ways to kill your pitching velocity. I would love to hear others with those issues that they are dealing with which are major velocity killers in their pitching deliveries. This may be an issue that you have been dealing with some time and have struggled with a solution or an issue that you have finally resolved and posting it hear could potentially help others.

what role do the obliques play in the delivery? core stability? I was just wondering because my torso is very unstable when moving at high speeds though my mechanics, and my obliques are very weak, probably the weakest part of my core.

The core is critical in converting momentum into torque at front foot strike and then multiplying those rotational forces into the ball. The Olympic lifts are some of the best core lifts in the weight room for developing extreme core strength.

so if someone has a weak core, will hip to shoulder separation even increase velocity? or will they not be able to get any separation at all?

With a weak core the pitcher will more than likely have lead knee flexion which will reduce hip to shoulder separation. So your answer is yes!

What is the reason for throwing a bullpen everyday? I wouldn't recommend it because it is to much work on your arm. In the 3X Pitching Velocity Program you spend half of your time working on the 3X mechanics without even throwing a baseball. It is the key to the program because you are developing the motor coordination around the 3x mechanics without putting wear and tear on the rotator cuff.
