OfflineFlat ground pitching is easier on the legs and arm but the release point is different. I use flat ground in the beginning with my pitchers until they get the 3X Mechanics down and they have good core and leg strength then we move to the mound for the drills.
I suggest starting off on flat ground and then always trying to finish on the mound.
