Hey, guys make good points here. I think while learning 3X mechanics you have to do a strength and conditioning program. It does not work when you work all on mechanics and then strength and conditioning, because many of Brent's analysis had to deal with power issues which caused these mechanical flaws. Doing the strength and conditioning program first is a different story, because you are strengthening your body, but not using the strength to increase velocity. Like the big guys that Brent analyses, they are only as explosive as little guys because they are not using their height or weight to give them the advantage. When you don't see the advantage you start to get depressed about the strength and conditioning program and think that it is rubbish. Also, it will take more of your time and if you work the mechanics you can actually see the change in velocity which gets you more motivated to continue your strength and conditioning program. It's funny how you changed the coach's views on pitching. I've been receiving many emails from guys like Paul Reddick (i've subscribed to their programs) and he sends me mails that say that coaches didn't want to change their views and about protecting their egos. Anyway, it's good that you have been changing coaches views.

I may have to ask you guys to bear with me on your questions. I grew up dyslexic so I have a different way of interpreting questions! Sometimes I just need a little kick in the right direction.

You guys are always on the right page here. It is because we all have a ton of experience in this game. We get it and I don't see us really disagreeing much!

The only reason I drive home the strength and conditioning side to 3X is because most young pitchers want the easy way out. I want them to get the entire program so I don't have to hear those pitchers who say I tried your mechanics and they didn't work. I know that if a pitcher completes the entire 16 weeks of the 3X program then it is impossible for them not to gain velocity. This is why I have to force them into making the commitment to the program and not just a reason to try the 3x mechanics.

Oh yea, i've heard this in the incredibles, that when everyone is super, no one will be. Which is why if you leak all the info nobody will become an average pitcher and will be throwing all 90+. Which is why I mentioned that every team will have different type of pitchers which has different strength and weaknesses, like Greg Maddux, he threw at around 80mph, and he was very successful in life. As I said, I'm not saying to give up on gaining velocity, but sometimes being a Greg Maddux in your team can be helpful. Also, if you don't try and gain velocity and try to be a Maddux, you won't get very far into your career, cause like some athletes, they are genetic freaks. So if you try, you'll probably end up with a tear in your muscle, or not get scouted for your weak velocity.

Yea, didn't read you post Brent when i was writing my other one Xd. and I agree with you. Many pitchers won't be committed to complete a strength and conditioning program, and i'm sure for those that have, they will be the ones who dominate in the major leagues :D.

Greg Maddux was a low 90's guy when he first came up. He didn't move into the low 80's until the last few years of his career. Velocity is the foot in the door. After that you need to learn how to pitch!

Fellas,

As we all know human beings are Confusedcreatures of habit and being creatures of habitConfused the great majority of coaches in any sport are bound by what they were or should I say (were not taught) prior to coaching and they are still stuck in their old conventional, self opinionated ways and methods of coaching. that is all they know, there is an unending chain of those coaches who have not yet been taught the finer points of the game right on up the line and have yet to become "TEACHERS," I run across them on a regular basis, only those of us who are the dedicated ones who have worked diligently for years on learning how to become excellent students and hopefully good "TEACHERS," of the game of baseball fully understand where we are at in relation as to what scientific research findings have brought to the baseball worlds table especially and most importantly on how the body in motion should function in difference as to how the body in motion does naturally function, there is a distinct difference due to the fact that when the body's chain reactive, hip to shoulder and mouse trap movements etc. are executed properly they are directed by the communication of the athletes mind to brain messages into body actions, in turn when the body acts on it's natural untrained impulses it functions quite differently, so consequently I find that the most successfully way to draw those who may be susceptible to change from old to new would be to organize some open to discussion on going awareness sessions with video clips of those who execute strong acceleration from the rubber with hip and torso lead, good drive foot, leg, knee and hip flexor extension, closed body position to touch down with proper leg and body position at deceleration with proper hip to shoulder separation, proper arm movement bringing the ball and hand out of the glove down, back, around ,up and on through with proper external and internal arm and elbow extension movement on through to release point and on to a nice flat back fielding position letting the ball in hand come to a momentary rest on the glove side knee, "NOT ALLOWING THE ARM TO VIOLENTLY RECOIL BACK UP,"  so as to allow the tremendous energy built up during the throwing movement to dissipate into the large muscles of the lower body instead of the smaller muscles of the upper body. I feel that when talking to those who will listen who do not understand is to show and explain those details in full and why they should be executed in the sequence as explained to them is of the most importance. Having Brent with his vast research and knowledge to attend those sessions would also be of the utmost importance.

Nuff Said.
