Nolan Ryan Slow Mo
November 5, 2008
Almost a decade after his career as one of the greatest pitchers of all time, we still are curious about his gift of throwing the heat. He remained in the mid 90′s into his early 40′s. Use this slow motion video of his delivery as a visual aid to learn top velocity. Notice his build and his ability to use his body as a single unit to develop top velocity. Use the scrubber to control the video.

Bad Pitching Mechanics is a Sign of Muscular Weakness
Above average coordination is a sign of fast twitch muscle strength. Fast twitch motor neurons recruit more muscle fibers. This means more control of the body and also more explosive power. The biggest problem for a pitching coach, when working with a pitcher who does not have good hip rotation or who does not load and build a full body stride, is that this is the result of poor core and leg strength...
The Tim Lincecum Trap
The Tim Lincecum Trap is out and I am hearing some buzz about his career going around online. I am hearing some of his critiques are making claims that Lincecum is doomed. In his defense, I would have to say that if his career is doomed then he still probably is a candidate for the Hall of Fame. He has 2 Cy Young Awards and a World Series Ring. Nolan Ryan doesn't even have that! Who cares if his...

The visual execution of Nolan's drive from the rubber, triple extension, lower body, hips with upper torso shoulders separation is "SUPER" and is an excellent visual aid and is very simple to observe and to understand how to successfully implement his moves into one's own pitching repertoire, these moves are ultimately responsible for alleviating the enormous tension, strain and abuse created on the arm and all other body parts during the throwing motion by allowing the whole body instead of just the arm to deliver the ball to it's final destination, "LET THE WHOLE BODY PROPERLY WORK FROM THE GROUND UP AND LET THE ARM GO ALONG FOR THE RIDE," only applying the necessary arm speed necessary.

I certainly would like to view a video clip of Tim Lincecum from the back side as Nolan's is in the above clip, simply beautiful
