Has anyone here experienced a tipping point in their careers. I remember mine. I was living in California at the time and my mentality on the mound all of a sudden began to change. I started dominating hitters. I started throwing the ball past everyone. I became very confident on the mound because my fastball was now becoming a threat to my opponents. I knew at this point that all my hard work had paid off and it was all coming to fruition.

Frustrated with average velocity? Your tipping point to high pitching velocity could be just around the corner!

We are all looking for that instant adjustment to increase pitching velocity. This can happen but it usually isn’t enough. The better approach to increasing pitching velocity is using a more comprehensive approach. This means you must slowly implement all facets to increasing pitching velocity into your training and pitching. This comprehensive approach to increasing pitching velocity can become frustrating overtime, as the pitcher digs through the trenches towards his pitching velocity goals. Many pitchers only have just started this approach before they throw in the towel, some pitchers get half way or just past half way when they throw in the towel and a rare few are willing to never give up until they hit their tipping point and reach their goals. These are those pitchers who make it all the way to pro ball.

The reason a more comprehensive approach to pitching velocity is so effective in helping you reach your velocity goals is defined by what is called the Tipping Point. Here is the Google definition of Tipping Point:

The point at which a series of small ineffective changes acquires enough pressure or importance to cause a larger, more significant change.

These changes may seem ineffective in the beginning but combined with the other changes and over a length of time, they will eventually lead you to your tipping point.

I will never forget my tipping point to high pitching velocity in my career. I was more determined than I ever was in my life to reach my velocity goals. I was training so hard that I was almost working all day long on just pitching. My tipping point didn’t happen over night but there was about a one month period where I knew something significant was happening. Some call it an act of fate or a divine intervention. I believe it is a combination of everything which defines the tipping point.

The problem is most pitchers are not willing to take a comprehensive approach or put in the effort and time to have the opportunity to one day experience your tipping point. To help those pitchers who are struggling with taking the steps towards reaching their tipping point to high pitching velocity, I have listed them here. All that is required of you is that you follow these steps with the commitment and determination to reach your velocity goals.

Steps Towards Your Tipping Point to High Pitching Velocity

Read the 3X Pitching Book in the 3X Pitching Velocity Program to learn a comprehensive approach to pitching velocity.

Start with the Beginner’s Guide to 3X Pitching, also included in the 3X Pitching Velocity program, to help prepare you for the performance enhancement training in the Ace Pitcher Handbook.

Read the Velocity Starter kit in the 3X Pitching Velocity Program to make sure you have everything you need to start the Ace Pitcher Handbook.

Start a walk through of all the drills, lifts, exercises, nutrition and more to make sure that you are comfortable with the entire 3X program and you know what is expected of you.

Adjust your weekly schedule to work with the training programs, so you do not have any scheduling conflicts.

Put together a nutrition plan to support the new program.

Start the 3X program and don’t finish until you have reached your 16 weeks.

If you get stuck anywhere in the program or you feel that something isn’t working then use the pitching forums to help you through.

If you finish the 3X Pitching Velocity Program and you have increased velocity but you feel that you have not hit your tipping point to high pitching velocity then I highly recommend that you continue onto the 3X Pitching Velocity Level 2 Program.

I am going to come clean here. I have been doing this long enough and I have sold enough programs on this site to know that 3X is the only program to legitimately increase pitching velocity. I get an email a day from pitchers telling me how amazing 3X Pitching is. I appreciate all of these emails, this is what keeps me doing this but my response is always I know, because it worked for me. I am not trying to prove anything here but that 3X Pitching really works.

The problem is those who don’t take the time to learn my approach or those who never commit to the program. I shouldn’t be frustrated by these people because these are those people who will never reach their goals in life. These are those people who will always need help and who will always complain that they got screwed in the end. I am only frustrated because I know that these are the people that need my help the most. The problem is how do I help them if they do not want it or they do not want to commit?

I haven’t posted a lot of content here on the mental approach to 3X Pitching, so I will start now. Yogi Berra said it best, “95% of this game is half mental.” That is the way I feel. Half of this game is mental and the other half is physical but 95% is definitely mental. If you can commit to any program on the web; 3X Pitching, Dick Mill’s, 90MPH Club, Jaeger Long Toss, NPA, etc, you will get better. I guarantee it! It is because of this Yogi Berra quote. To make it more clear, this quote is saying that yes, you can evenly split up the components of this game including the mental and physical facets but in the end, the mental facet is the most powerful. Have you ever seen the movie, The Secert? If you haven’t then you need to. This is a must see movie. It is proof that your goals will only be accomplished if you ultimately believe in them. So if your goal is to reach your top velocity and you bought the Dick Mill’s program but you are slightly skeptical because the 90MPH Club just sent you an email that says something that conflicts with the Dick Mill’s program, then now you have a problem. Now you are not fully committed and your chances of reaching your goals is limited.

The #1 Reason Pitchers Never Reach Their Top Velocity is the lack of Commitment!

If this is you then grow up and take the bull by the horns for once in your life. Out of all the poeple who purchase my program about 15% actually complete the program and don’t stop until they reach their velocity goals. The job of the program is not to perform a miracle and do the work for you, it is there to help you get to your goals faster than if you did it on your own and time is critical in any career. This is why you should only use a program that was used by someone who shares your same makeup or circumstance. Every single person who finds himself on TopVelocity.net and reads my BIO, about how I used the 3X Pitching Velocity program to beat the odds and top out at 94MPH in a professional season, who can put themselves in my shoes before my arm surgery or just after, always purchase my program and completes it. Though this is not the majority of my pitchers here. This is actually the 15% I mentioned earlier. The other 85% is those who are buying every single program on the web and using the part of the program that they feel is the only thing that is going to work in combination with all the other parts from all the other programs that they feel is best. The only thing missing here is the commitment, because how could you be committed to using a mixology of programs to make the perfect program and have confidence that it is going to even work in the end? The reason it is better to commit to one program alone, is because if you have done your homework, you know that it has been tested and it is proven to work. It is like saying I am going to not just buy a McDonald’s franchise to start a successful business, I am going to buy McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s and Carls’ Jr and use the best of all of them to build my new business. How in God’s name do you know this will work? Why should it even work? Why not just stick with one of them because they all have a proven track record of producing success.

Don’t just try a program, commit to a program and dare yourself to produce the results that you want!

* I used the picture of Cal Ripken Jr, because in baseball he is the best example of commitment. If you do not know why then do your homework!

In baseball speed is the best way to measure an athletes ability. Speed is a critical component in all sports. Speed in baseball can be measured in throwing speed, bat speed and running speed. If you can excel at all of these facets then your value as a baseball player is great.

Many coaches and scouts would say you are either born with speed or not. I would say forget them. Speed can be developed. I was the slowest high school athlete. I was 6’1 170 lbs and could catch a football but because I was so slow they made me a tight end on the football team. I was the skinniest tight end in the state. I should have been a wide receiver but my speed was my problem. When I trained with the 3X Pitching Velocity Program in college as a pitcher, which helped me develop speed all around, I went from the slowest to the fastest on my team. What I learned was that when you increase your bodies ability to output more power then you increase your speed all around. So not only did my throwing speed increase but also my bat speed and my running speed. The key to this is called Force Production.

Force Production is your bodies ability to apply force into the ground or what I also call ground reaction forces. The reason we must apply force into the ground is because speed is movement and how else are we going to move if we can not push off of something? Throwing speed, bat speed and running speed all are products of ground reaction forces. This means to increase throwing, bat and running speed you must learn mechanics that work from the ground up and you must also train your body to enhance its force production. It is actually that simple. This is why I do not have much respect for coaches and scouts who believe speed can not be taught.

Now that you understand that you can throw harder, hit farther and run faster, just by increasing your force production, you should be pumped up. Great, let’s take this energy and put it into your training. If you are a pitcher, then I highly recommend that you use the 3X Pitching Velocity Program to start enhancing your force production. This program will not only train you to do this but to specifically do this to increase velocity. Check it out to learn more! If you are a position player and are ready to increase your force production to increase your bat and running speed then I highly recommend that you purchase the Baseball Training Manual below. Best of luck and lets prove these scouts and coaches wrong!

Sorry to bust your bubble but it takes a lot of hard and smart work to develop it. If you are looking to gain 4-5 mph on your fastball then you must work to improve in all facets of pitching. These facets include:

Efficient and effective pitching mechanics.

An explosive fast twitch focused total body.

Proper nutrition and supplementation.

A healthy mental approach and faith in something greater than yourself.

I understand this news can be overwhelming and a buzz killer but if gaining velocity was easy and could come in a pill form then everyone would be doing it and 90 plus mph would become average. If you want to be extraordinary then you must live to be extraordinary. Listed below are some links to get you on the right track to developing velocity, that you are so determined to obtain, in such a short period of time.
