The 3X programs include a program for every season of the year. Here is the list of which 3X program goes with which season and why.

  1. Off-season – This is the time of the year to increase velocity and develop or re-develop the power pitcher. The 3X Pitching Velocity program level 1 and 2 was developed to increase velocity and power production during this off-season. The 3X Pitching Velocity programs can be used during pre and in-season to continue to increase velocity, if the pitcher does not have a normal pitching workload. The format of these programs use an 8 week cycle.
  2. Pre-season – This is the time of the year just before the new season begins when it is important to refine the motor coordination around the 3X mechanics while transitioning the strength and conditioning program from power enhancement into power maintenance. The 3X Pre-season program was developed with a new set of 3X drills and the power maintenance program for this short season. The format of this program uses a 4 week cycle.
  3. In-season – This is the time of year when the pitcher moves into a starting or relief pitching rotation. The focus of the in-season program is to continue along the lines of the pre-season program but working around the pitchers rotation. Rebuilding and recovery become more of a focus within the strength and conditioning program during the season of play. The 3X In-season program was also developed with a new set of 3X drills and the power maintenance program for this full season. The format of this program uses a 4 week cycle through the entire season.
