I would really like some feedback on my med throws and target throws. I’ll take anything on my throws. I’m frustrated because I got 72 at the camp on my separation throws and I haven’t go anything above 70 since I’ve been here.
Yesterday was great for me I set a new PR on my separation med throws at 37 and I got my separation target throws up to 74 (that’s 2 mph higher than my previous PR 72) and I was consistently in the low 70’s with them. I threw 74 1x 72 3x 71 1x 69 2x 70 1x I felt great yesterday. I was feeling some good separation and by good I mean good for me. Hopefully I can take what I learned in the short period of time in Louisiana and the time I’ve put in since I’ve been back to the mound this coming season. I can’t wait to experience more gains!
Yesterday my separation throws were only as high as 72 but then again it’s probably because of all the workouts I felt a little sore doing them but I was satisfied with 72 given the circumstances. As far as separation med throws go they were only as high as 35 I think, I might’ve gotten 36 but I don’t remember. I feel like I’m getting good separation on my target throws, I think I could get more though if I got more linear because some of that leg drive power could be going up rather than forward. It still seems that I’m hopping in my throws a little bit. Tell me what you all think of my throws feedback really helps. Hopefully my throws keep going up!
Both from some of my workout this afternoon. I felt like the weight was too light during my power clean sets so I took it upon myself just to try and and power clean 190 and ended up doing so which isn’t bad (I weigh 192). Does the clean count I yanked my head up a little bit on the clean and am just wondering if you think it counts. Pretty confident in my split jerks, I almost would like to do a max rep on my split jerks since you don’t do it really in the program. But again feed back is always great thanks. If someone could put me side by side with someone doing an olympic lift that would be cool to.
Yesterday afternoon was great for me I hit 77mph on my separation target throws. It was amazing I couldn’t believe it. Just by doing the workouts and working on my mobility and doing my throws everyday I have gained velocity. I threw harder on my separation throws then I did pitching at the camp two weeks ago. It blew my mind I couldn’t believe it. Next week depending on how close the season is I may have to start the pre-season program. If I can implement those same mechanics into my pitching delivery I should be throwing, tops at 84 mph. I’m going to do whatever it takes to throw that hard. Especially living in such a rural area I will blow everyone away being left handed is a plus too I don’t think there is anybody else in the state who is left handed that throws that hard not including colleges. I can’t wait to see what this season brings and this summer where I will gain even more. Then again feedback is always great so if you see something that I could do to bring up my separation throws even more that would be great.
The usual workouts from today. My separation throws were at 76 tops today. Not on this one though, I was throwing to a catcher and my force vector was kind’ve going vertical rather than linear so on this I only threw 74 which still isn’t bad. Anyways just an update on my progress can’t wait to get into the pre-season program next week and see what kind’ve results I produce on the mound!
