Walter Feeney’s Separation Throws, Stride Throws & Olympic Lifts
I will just be posting my separation, stride & Olympic Lifts here. I’d love some feedback so I can improve and make sure I’m doing everything right. I will be constantly posting videos here everyday if not, at least once a week via youtube links.

Your a beast man! Keep working hard. Start back slow with your arm and keep that grip strength over 130lbs. You are welcome to comeback to Guerilla anytime. We miss you man!

Just another update on everything. Recently I’m back into throwing since the doctor said it was okay last Wednesday. Only been throwing as hard as 72 this week trying to keep the velo low and rehabbing it especially since I’m throwing in 33 degree weather. My lifting has been as strong as ever though I’m now only 20lbs away from 2x backsquat and just clean and jerked recently 245lbs. My bodyweight is now 200lbs. I’ve got a good feeling about how things will turn out once I really start focusing in on my mechanics in the coming months into the summer. I just feel like I have to be patient with my throwing for now until my arm is completely normal again and to not re-injure it. I will posting video of my throws on radar soon and side views.

Nice work you are a beast! Love it. Start the arm off slow and really work hard on hip to shoulder separation.

My mechanics from throwing today. In terms of goals and speed I would like to throw and at least touch 80 once within the next week. I actually threw as hard as 78 on Sunday and today I was only able to throw as hard as 76 but I’m throwing 76 in my separation drills. Gonna go back to working on med ball throws again as well. I also thought it would be a good idea to look at some old video of me from last year. In the old video it seems like in the old I wasn’t as dynamic or fast. I didn’t hold any torsion at all in my old video but in the new one it seems like I am holding more torsion in my drive leg but I think there is a disconnect when it comes to separating or something.

Walter, you are not even using your drive leg. All of your leg work isn’t being used in your throwing. You need not swing your lift leg. Calm it down and focus on loading and driving your back leg into front foot strike. Keep your chin behind belt buckle to hold more weight over your back leg into your leg drive. Then you are also early arm cocking and starting trunk rotation before you stabilize your front leg. This means your hip to shoulder separation is poor. Start first with getting the leg drive working and your speed will start going up again.

I threw 40 on med throws today. I got up to 41 yesterday but didn’t get it on camera. I only got 6 hours of sleep last night so I was also pretty tired.

I wasn’t trying to move that fast but I was trying as hard as i could to cock my arm later and keep my foot closed off just before front foot strike.
