I currently back squat 250 but can barely power clean 145. Is the reason that my power clean is so low due to form?

**I understand this is a huge generalization and more information is probably needed. I just am frustrated and recently I feel like my power cleans are declining, like 145 is getting more and more difficult to power clean.

Your power cleans should not be declining if you are following the programs periodization model. Are you following the program as listed?

Squats always go up faster than Cleans because it isn’t as technical.

Yes. I was sort of wrong in saying decline, its been more of a plateau at 145 and it has just been frustrating. I haven’t worked my legs like I should have though so that may be the issue. Is a normal power clean about 100 lbs less than a squat?

Power clean focuses more on speed and strength than just strength and it takes efficient motor coordination to optimize the movement. When you get better technically and gain more speed of movement your clean will shoot up.

Do you know any exercises that specifically help increase speed of movement?
