Don't let the looks fool you, both of those guys are big, physical athletes.
My friend they also are the epitome of competitiveness. They leave it on the field every time they pitch.
You don't throw 200+ innings year in the Big Leagues for as long as they have or did and not be an elite athlete.
You might get away with it for one year, but not as long as both of them have.

Ok, I will say more. An elite athlete in my book is either a genetic specimen or an athlete who had some genetic ability and upgraded it by conditioning himself to that of the makeup of a genetic specimen. Your two examples of pitchers here are the genetic versions of an elite athlete. Tim Lincecum and Aroldis Chapman are examples of the conditioned elite athlete.
