As I am about to go back to school after working through the bulk of the 3x program this summer, I am pleased with my results. I haven’t been able to get on a gun yet but I can feel that I have gained velocity, but more interestingly, I am noticing I am able to throw more strikes now. Before, I used to use the traditional “up, down and out” delivery which made everything way too mechanical and i was a little wild. But now after working through the program and learning how to build momentum using gravity to take me down the mound before I 3x and I feel not only the added velocity, but I am throwing more strikes. Would this be because all of my momentum is going towards the plate? Its funny because a lot of people might try to say that this more explosive 3x approach would make one throw less strikes and be all over the place. I’m actually finding quite the opposite!

yes, I believe the reason you’re making more strikes is because with the 3X approach, you take out all the unwanted movement, making your delivery much more consistent.

Z, Wow! It has been a while. Great to see you back on the forums! How are things going?

Southpaw92, Z had a great response to your question. Keep up the good work!
