I just finished week 7 of the Ace Pitcher handbook, started late due to I had no where to perform the med throws and such due to the weather. So obviously I’m not going to see much of a velocity increase just yet, but had a couple questions for this upcoming week because of the Wayne State camp I’m attending on Saturday. Since I would be in Max Week should I just do another recovery week? Or just finish the Max Week? Also do you have any tips on the mental and physical preparation I can do before Saturday? Wayne State is the number one college I want to go to so I want to be prepared.

I would say you do all of week 8. It’s only a monday-wednesday week and you can rest on Thursday and Friday. Simply look at the mental topics here. You’ll have lots of ideas just by looking at that. If not, you can always ask for other ways to prepare :)

I would take the week off from lifting and running and just working on your pitching. Make sure you do not throw much the day before. Give yourself a lot of rest and nutrition so your body is fresh on Saturday.

As for the mental approach, on page 19 of the 3X Pre-Season guide it has some mental coaching to help you prepare.

Thanks for the reply! So when I do come back to the program, should I continue on to week 8 or repeat the recovery week?
