Hi Brent

Would pitching in the set position the whole game be better than pitching from the windup, and then whenever a runner gets on base you have to switch to set. Travis Blackey the starter for the Oakland A’s has great control of his fastball and can locate his pitches very well. He goes from the set the whole time he is pitching even with no runners in base. Is this a good idea to do?

I pitched like this all through pro ball. I don’t like changing anything so I prefer always pitching from the stretch. I highly recommend doing this if you need more consistency in your mechanics.
