When I slowed down his mechanics he doesn't look any different. This is typical with most quick rehabs like this. They are more focused on getting back to the game instead of preventing it from happening again. His advisers are probably telling him that his injury had more to do with overuse than mechanics. I would agree with this but I do feel that he does have some mechanics issues with how he swings his throwing arm out of his glove up into the cocked position.

Hey Brent,
It’s funny you say that. Could you possibly elaborate a little further on this subject. I have always seen and used the check drill in my sons pitching practice. Never really had any shoulder or elbow pain yet. But what I really noticed is the ones that seam to keep the upper arm in line with there shoulder and let there forearm dangle below the upper arm these pitchers have better deception with the ball to the plate then the others not realizing it may cause injury. Never seen alot discussed on this subject. Maybe a slow video on his throwing arm and a short description of what you see.
