The Mental Side of Pitching is what you know about pitching and the preparation you go through to become a great pitcher.
There are 3 main aspects of the Mental Side of Pitching.
- Knowledge and Your ability to learn what it takes to be a great pitcher.
- Practicing correctly what you know and learned.
- Performing in the game everything you practiced.
There is a big difference in the Mental Side of Pitching and Mental Toughness.
Mental Toughness is the result of that preparation combined with your competitiveness, ability to remain poised under pressure and the ability to pitch through adversity.
There are several aspects of pitching that you will never be good at until you know what it takes to be pitcher.
That’s what I love about pitching. It isn’t about training robots. It takes athletic ability, work ethic, intelligence and mental toughness.
Those that learn that at an early age will have a huge Mental advantage of those who rely on talent alone.
