The TopVelocity Project – 3X Evaluations
All of these pitchers have been through the 3X Evaluation System at a 3X Velocity Camp. To learn more about the 3X Evaluation System checkout the 3X Velocity Class.
If you want to view the complete report on the pitcher listed in the directory below select their name for more information. Some information is not displayed due to copyright protection. Here is a description list of the column headings below.
- Pic = This is the head shot of the pitcher being evaluated.
- Name = This is the full name of the pitcher being evaluated.
- Year = This is the year the evaluation was recorded.
- H = Height = This is the height of the pitcher in inches.
- WS = Wing Span = This is the distance from finger tip to finger tip with arms extended outward to the side.
- BW = Body Weight = This is body weight in pounds.
- M = Mobility = This is the mobility rating using a 0-48 scale. The higher the number the more mobility in the pitchers body.
- GS (R) = Grip Strength Right = This is the amount of pounds of pressure that the pitcher can squeeze in the right hand.
- GS (L) = Grip Strength Left = This is the amount of pounds of pressure that the pitcher can squeeze in the left hand.
- SIR (DA) = Shoulder External Rotation (Dominant Active) = This is the amount of active internal rotation in the throwing arm.
- SER (DA) = Shoulder External Rotation (Dominant Active) = This is the amount of active external rotation in the throwing arm.
- 10 YS = 10 Yard Sprint = This is the time it takes for the pitcher to sprint 10 yards.
- Power = This is the power output of the pitcher in watts using the Harman formula.
- P-D (T) = Proximal to Distal Timing = Rating scale from 0-5 rating how well the pitcher moves energy up the kinetic chain.
- DKNE (S) = Dominate Knee Speeds = The top speeds of the drive knee before front foot strike. The metric is recorded in inches per second.
- DHIP (S) =Dominate Hip Speeds = The top speeds of the dominate hip before front foot strike. The metric is recorded in inches per second.
- DSH (S) =Dominate Shoulder Speeds = The top speeds of the throwing shoulder after front foot strike. The metric is recorded in inches per second.
- DEL (S) =Dominate Elbow Speeds = The top speeds of the throwing elbow after front foot strike. The metric is recorded in inches per second.
- DWR (S) =Dominate Wrist Speeds = The top speeds of the throwing wrist after front foot striker. The metric is recorded in inches per second.
- CHIN (S) = Chiny Speeds = The top speeds of the chin after front foot strike. The metric is recorded in inches per second.
- LKNE (S) = Landing Knee Speeds = The top speeds of the landing knee driving back into the hips after front foot strike. The metric is recorded in inches per second.
- CHIN (D) = Chin Distance = The distance the chin moves forward from front foot strike to pitch release. The metric is recorded in inches per second.
- BM = Biomechanics Mobility = This is the biomechanics mobility rating using a 0-55 scale. The higher the number the more mobility the pitcher is using in his pitching delivery.
- IP = Injury Potential = This is the biomechanics injury potential rating using a 0-60 scale. The higher the number the healthier the mechanics.
- PP = Performance Potential = This is the biomechanics performance potential rating using a 0-110 scale. The higher the number the less potential the pitcher has to improve mechanics.
- PV = This is the velocity of the pitch recorded for analysis during the camp.
- TopV = This is the highest velocity recorded of the pitcher during the evaluation.
