Guys:  some of you might be interested in this chart showing the combined data in this thread for these professional pitchers.  JR

 

Definitions:
L
= Leg Lift = When foot comes off of ground into leg lift.
FFS
= Front Foot Strike = When the lift leg lands.
FM = First Move = The moment the hips start moving towards target.
PR = Pitch Release = The moment the ball leaves the hand.
SL = Stride Length = Distance of stride.
RP = Release point = The point of release of pitch.
Sep = Hip to shoulder separation.
FF
= Front foot
BF = Back Foot

I would love to do one of these graphs for pitchers with the Inverted W. I believe you would find that pitchers with the inverted W or L have shorter stride than the Pro's here in the 3X Profiles.

If you send me the data, I'd be happy to update the graph or draw a new graph.  We could also graph results from the kids against the pro's to show how their mechanics compare.

JR,

     I think this is an excellent contribution to 3X.  Great work.  I've looked at the analyses where you've graphed the amateur pitchers to compare to the pros.  They show at a glance that the pros move sooner, faster, and farther and that the result is greater separation.  I can envision graphing a pitcher's improvement from his initial analysis to a post-3X analysis.  Great stuff.  Thanks for sharing it.  I'm going to send you an e-mail for a copy.

I believe that Brent should add this graph into his pitcher profiles. I guess you can see the differences much easier than having to look through all other pitcher profiles to see the differences ;D
